The clay volume which being shaped on the pottery wheel, turning of the pottery wheel and its charming voice in the workshop and the dancing movements of the potter’s hands which causes the clay to blossom and grow up like a flower is fantastic and amazing. In pottery courses the students become familiar with different tools and materials necessary for pottery and also the various shapes and also the rules and techniques of pottery. You will certainly enjoy learning the experiences of your ancestors with a new and scientific look. When the pottery soil combines with water, you will have a sticky material called the pottery clay which turns to be hard because of heat and it is resistant against water. The clay is knead to become consistent and the air bubbles to come out. Before invention of pottery wheel the clays was shaped like a wick and the layers of wicks constituted the wall of the clay container and some louyi (a kind of very soft reed fibers) was added to the clay.
